I’ve been playing with this idea for a couple of years. A book? A course? A study group of sorts? A substack weekly text journey? Or maybe a choose-your-ending type of book?
Rewilding is necessary. The Wild Foundation states that approximately 50% of the Earth's land and seas need to be protected in a wild state for the planet to be healthy and for life to thrive. I think that is true for earthlings as well. We need our wildness, our freedom, and and we need to be in alignment with our true nature to thrive.
So I wrote this invitation and while I have a big YES around this journey, I’m not sure how it will unfold. Or if. Or when. But I do love a great mystery. Do you?
Come with me, if you’d like, to a place beyond the rainbow. We will journey across the landscape to the hidden realms that have kept you captive and dimmed you down. Those places where the chains have already broken, but you are so used to them that you haven’t yet noticed you are free. Oh those old ties that bind us!
Let us move on in our lives, releasing what no longer serves us and turning towards what matters most in this adventure called life. What does matter …. most? Do you notice a bit of quaking in your boots? Not sure if you want to take this on? Let me tell you it won’t be a walk in the park but an adventure of a lifetime. Sure, you can instead choose to sit in your rocking chair, safe and secure for the moment, but is that what you really want? Really, really want? The choice is always yours to make.
I’m heading off and I hope you’ll join me. Before I go, here’s a sneak peek into the terrain.
We will head off along the path into the forest. Not a dense dark rain forest but more of a high desert spacious forest that smells like hot sappy pine and full blooming periwinkle lupine. The kind that allows the dry heat of the sun and the land to soak into your bones and you know you ARE of those things.
Do you follow the path or do you turn away? There are no guarantees or promises made and the path isn’t well worn, yet something compels you to take that first step into places you haven’t been before.
Dare you go?
How can you resist? As you step up to the trailhead, the sign reads “Let Curiosity Be Your Guide.” The path meanders through the forest for a while as you contemplate your life. Who are you and what has been your journey to date? What is the story you’ve been living? Can you see it or are you too enmeshed in the density to view it clearly?
You reach a choice point. One way loops back to the beginning, so there’s still time to abandon this adventure. But the other way calls you to embrace uncertainty and appears to head deeper into the forest, a bit darker with the intense beauty of a lush rain forest not too far off. You can slightly detect the scent of the rich wet soil calling to you in the distance. Must go THAT way.
You come to the base of the Mystic Mountain and to continue on requires going into the depths of your Soul. Places you’ve avoided, or tried to, and yet you know it is time and you will be ok. True Power Lives Within announces the sign to the door/cave. As you enter you notice the ancient Scrolls here and there, an assortment of books, and canvas to paint, should you choose.
This may be intense. Fear may arise but remember … it’s only a story … right?
Once through the darkness you emerge into the highlands of Creative Flow. Sovereignty has been tasted. You can see the potentials, embrace uncertainty and operate as a creative force standing tall as your sovereign self. You realize it is not the knowledge that transforms you but the experience of the knowledge which then organically becomes wisdom.
You rest, taking in the beauty of what you see, sense, intuit and know to be.
When the time is right you head down the mountain, embracing your gifts and moving into the future, remembering to follow your inner impulses and curiosities. To keep dancing your life, becoming more of who you truly are.
And you find yourself in a new land full of probably possibilities and wild new adventures. Where will you go from here? It’s up to you.
Care to join me?
