being seen by someone who actually took the time ... thats rare

It is, isn't it? I do wonder, though, if that may happen more and more as people seek more connection and meaning in their daily life. Slowing down. More intentionality. Fuller presence. Your book, https://silentwitnesspress.substack.com/p/the-signal-from-below, will help awaken that in people, I suspect and hope. It's time for all of us to be more conscious in our lives and take responsibility for our choices (or lack thereof). On a side note, I don't see our chat; if you didn't see my reply do let me know.

Suzanne, reading this landed differently now that it’s out in the world. What began as me simply following the threads I could see in your work became a reminder for me too: sometimes we don’t need someone to tell us who to become; we need someone willing to pay enough attention to help us recognize what is already there.

“I think I’m standing a tad bit taller” may be the line that stays with me most. If the reflection gave you even a little more confidence in something you had already built and already knew somewhere inside yourself, then I’m deeply glad I followed my curiosity and made it.

Thank you for receiving it with such openness, and for sharing the experience so generously here. It has been a gift on my side of the conversation too. 😊

😉Had you suggested who to become, our conversations would've gone in a different direction and ended by now. 🤣

What I love most is when conversations explore a topic and unexpected results or ideas show up as a result of the shared dialog and ideas (energy exchange core to core). That type of conversation nourishes both parties. This time the conversation focused on my work, thank you, but any topic, when both parties are present and authentic, is priceless.

May we build more intentional conversation throughout the world. Thanks Sam.

Hahaha, message received 🤣 Had I arrived with a blueprint for who Suzanne ought to become, apparently I would have been escorted out of the conversation weeks ago. 😂

But what you described is exactly what I value too. The best conversations aren't one person dispensing answers while the other collects them. Both people bring something real, stay present long enough to explore it, and sometimes a third thing emerges that neither person could have produced alone.

That’s part of what made this exchange so enjoyable for me too. Yes, this one happened to begin with your work, but the real value has been the thinking, questioning, laughing, disagreeing, discovering and occasionally defeating Substack technology along the way. 😂

“May we build more intentional conversation throughout the world.” I’ll happily join you in that one, Suzanne. We could certainly use more of it. 😊❤️
